This study conducts an in-depth analysis of Shanghai's regional development strategies and spatial layout as a macro-level topic. It aims to explore innovative approaches and implementation pathways for the long-term prosperity of Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta urban cluster. By examining Shanghai's economic development pattern at the intersection of global economic integration and domestic economic restructuring, it reveals both the latent advantages and practical challenges the city faces amid the tide of the times.This study dissects the underlying mechanisms of Shanghai's regional development and outlines the overall framework and implementation methods for regional development strategies from unique perspectives such as the marine economy and shipping logistics. The exploratory process of Shanghai's regional planning highlights the critical value of tailoring approaches to local conditions, advocating for the deep integration of spatial layout with the actual needs of regional economic and social development to fully unlock the potential of regional endowments.
