With the rapid growth of the global tourism industry and the rise of new quality productive forces, the development of tourism management as a discipline is encountering both unprecedented challenges and opportunities. This paper investigates the construction of a national first-class undergraduate program in tourism management through the lens of new quality productive forces. It examines how these emerging forces reshape the demand for tourism management professionals and proposes stra-tegic approaches and practical measures for program development. These include restructuring the curriculum system, enhancing practice-oriented teaching, advancing industry-education integration, and cultivating a global perspective. The aim is to nurture high-caliber talent equipped to meet the evolving demands of the tourism sector in the new era, thereby significantly improving the quality of education and the comprehensive competencies of students. This, in turn, provides robust talent sup-port for the sustainable development of the tourism industry.
