Value Exploration and Methodological Strategies for Moral Education in High School English

In the context of globalization, language education needs to take into account both students' language proficiency and the cultivation of their moral qualities. The cultivation of moral education in both Chinese and English is to enhance students' comprehensive qualities through the teaching and activities of both subjects. The research on moral education abroad has gone through the embryonic stage (Comenius et al. focused on theory) and the development stage (Dewey et al. emphasized the integration of practice into the curriculum). Although domestic research is highly valued, there is a lack of empirical studies on the implementation methods of moral education in English. High school English moral education can enhance students' comprehensive language and cross-cultural communication abilities. The strategies include: teaching literary works, exploring social issues, practicing language skills, cross-cultural communication and moral education theme class meetings, in order to cultivate students' humanistic qualities and social responsibility.
