Research on the current situation, problems and countermeasures of primary education punishment

Abstract

Educational discipline is a necessary means and legal authority for teachers to fulfill their edu-cational and teaching duties, and it plays an irreplaceable role in the growth of students. The correct use of educational discipline by teachers in the educational and teaching process and management is conducive to comprehensively shaping students' moral qualities and has re-search significance for optimizing the implementation channel of educational discipline. This ar-ticle conducts interviews and questionnaires with primary school teachers, students and parents, and selects two typical cases to analyze the current situation such as teachers' cognition and methods of educational discipline, parents' cognition and participation in educational discipline, and students' acceptance of educational discipline. Thus, the reasons can be concluded that some teachers have a vague understanding of educational discipline, some parents have a wrong per-ception of educational discipline, and some students have an improper attitude towards educa-tional discipline. Based on the reasons, solutions such as teachers clarifying the original inten-tion of punishment, rationally grasping punishment, parents understanding the connotation of punishment, actively cooperating with punishment, students clarifying the purpose of punish-ment, and rationally viewing punishment were proposed.
