Exploration of Pathways for Integrating Volunteer Service into Ideological and Po-litical Education for College Students

This paper initially analyzes the current domestic and international landscape of integrating volunteer services with ideological and political education (IPE), highlighting its theoretical and practical significance. It underscores the importance of incorporating volunteer services into IPE. Subsequently, it examines existing challenges in university student volunteerism from four perspectives: motivation for participation, levels of engagement, lack of sustainable organizational management mechanisms, and deficiencies in training systems. Finally, the paper proposes four strategies to enhance the integration of IPE with university volunteer services: establishing comprehensive training systems encompassing both ideological and professional development, innovating integration models and pathways, strengthening societal participation and collaboration, and creating robust publicity platforms. These measures aim to improve the effectiveness of volunteer service practices within IPE, thereby enhancing their educational impact.
