Research on Morin Khuur Music and the World It Portrays

Abstract

The Morin Khuur, as an important representative instrument of Mongolian culture, carries rich historical culture and spiritual connotations. However, with the changes in modern society and the diversification of musical forms, Morin Khuur music is confronted with the dual predicament of losing tradition and derailing innovation between inheritance and innovation. This thesis will explore the traditional loss of Morin Khuur music, the derailment between innovation and tradi-tional inheritance, as well as its evolution in representing the trend of popular culture, and at-tempt to analyze the cultural inheritance issues and artistic innovation challenges involved in this process. Ultimately, this article will propose how Morin Khuur music can be organically combined with traditional culture and modern innovation in the context of the new era to pro-mote the inheritance of culture and the progress of art.
