Abstract

China and South Korea have both achieved remarkable success in international table tennis competitions, occupying pivotal positions in the global arena. China has further solidified its leading position through Olympic gold medals and World Championship titles, while South Ko-rea has maintained competitiveness through technological innovation and strategic adjustments. However, existing research predominantly focuses on unilateral national training systems. This study systematically compares the differences and commonalities between China and South Ko-rea in athlete selection, training methodologies, and support mechanisms. From the perspective of "cultural differences driving policy choices," it aims to provide theoretical insights for cross-national sports policy adaptation.
