Abstract

This study takes the classic plot of Robinson Crusoe waking up and searching for the ship in Robinson Crusoe as the research object, comparatively analyzes the translation performance of two versions (the Red Version and the Green Version), and sorts out five core problems in the translations, namely unnecessary embellishment, redundant characters, exaggerated expression, forced logical connection and over-enhanced expressive effect. Combined with specific example sentences, it analyzes the specific manifestations of each problem. Meanwhile, the paper puts forward translation optimization strategies, emphasizing that translations should adhere to the conciseness and accuracy of the original text and balance the authentic expression of emotions, so as to provide practical references for the precision and standardization of literary translation.
