Research on the Revitalization of Macao Yi-long Cannon Factory under the Back-ground of Cultural Tourism Integration

Abstract

With the process of urbanization and the development of the gambling industry in Macau, the once prosperous traditional industries have gradually faded out of people's lives. Traditional industrial sites, as witnesses of the historical changes in the old city, are important assets that represent and preserve urban civilization. The industrial cultural heritage, especially the rede-velopment and utilization of industrial historical industrial parks and their landscapes, has be-come a major part of urban cultural tourism and historical preservation. This study takes the Macao Yilong Cannon Factory as an example to introduce its historical culture, development process, and current renovation status. Based on research and analysis, from the perspective of cultural tourism development, a comprehensive strategy for protecting the factory site and in-dustrial landscape environment and revitalizing the park is proposed.
